[ a sigh of relief sounds from her. it's actually good to be home. ]

I'm glad to be back ...

[ granted, the past week is all one big blank to her, but being home is much better than that by far. ]

[He stops the bike and puts the kickstand down, going to get Kohaku off the back.]

Yukio is at work. It's... just us right now.

[spiria]

[ she holds her arms out to him as he comes to get her off of the back of the bike. here, let's make this easier. ]

I see ... plenty of time for uninterrupted hugs, then?

[ they both could use some uninterrupted hugs. ]

[Oh good. He'll just casually carry her to the door that way, too.]

Yeah. After you drink some water and eat somethin'. Yukio would throw a fit if I didn't make sure you were okay after all that.

[Gotta make sure he's doing his duty as the older brother of a doctor. Or something like that.

And because he cares. Of course.]

Fiiine, fine, I will. Just to make you happy.

[ She holds onto him and thinks a little bit about how empty the house is. She knew Ichigo had died, too, so she figured he just hadn't come back yet ... but where was Anna? ]

Where's Anna, Rin? Did she go out somewhere again?

[keepsthefire]

Good.

[uhm.]

... I don't know. I haven't seen her in days.

[spiria]

[ .... nononono. ]

W-We should look for her ... maybe I should message her.

[keepsthefire]

[Rin shakes his head slowly, setting Kohaku down once they're inside and the door is closed.]

I tried... somethin' musta happened. Maybe the flowers got her too and I just couldn't find her body, I don't know...

[spiria]

[ .... no. nono. everyone just went and got themselves killed somehow, didn't they? And Rin and Yukio were left alone ...

... Just as quickly as he'd set her down, she was hugging him again. ]

I'm sorry ...

[keepsthefire]

[Rin accepts the hug, holding her tight and letting out a tired sigh.]

We... just gotta wait for her to come home...

[spiria]

Everyone just left you and Yukio alone, though ... I mean, I know that there's not a lot we can do when this place wants to mess with us, but I still feel bad.

[ she'll keep holding him for now. until he forces water and food on her. and then she'll probably go right back to holding him. ]

[Which will be about now. He pulls back, only to forcefully turn her around and start walking towards the kitchen.]

It was quiet and it sucked but we've survived worse before.

[spiria]

[ there might be a pout here. she did say she would eat if he made sure she did, though, so she doesn't fight it. ]

I still feel bad ... You know I don't like it when you're feeling bad.

[keepsthefire]

[Good.]

I know. But you're back now.

[spiria]

I am. So I'll make you feel better somehow.

You bein' back is a pretty good start.

It is a good start. But not good enough.

[sigh]

. . . eat your food, Kohaku.

[spiria]

... okay.

[ she'll begrudgingly do as he asks her to do because she really does feel that crappy. she'll find some way to take care of him too, though. ]

[keepsthefire]

You should probably take a bath and get some sleep after you're done.

[He's just going to bustle around the kitchen while she eats, trying to keep himself busy. He pauses, though, adding after a beat:]

I'll be here when you wake up.

[spiria]

Promise? Lay down with me?

[ cuddles? cuddles. cuddles are needed. especially after all of that. ]

[Of course they are.]

Okay.

[spiria]

Okay. I'll finish eating, and then shower and then my hair will be all all wet and then we can lay down.

[ And you'll get all wet, too. ]

Gee thanks that's just what I wanted. Can't you braid it back or somethin'?

[Girls did that sort of thing, right?]

Yeah, but my hair is really long. It's not gonna help much.

It's so inevitable, I'll just get you wet, too ~
