It was quiet and it sucked but we've survived worse before.

[ there might be a pout here. she did say she would eat if he made sure she did, though, so she doesn't fight it. ]

I still feel bad ... You know I don't like it when you're feeling bad.

I am. So I'll make you feel better somehow.

You bein' back is a pretty good start.

It is a good start. But not good enough.

[spiria]

... okay.

[ she'll begrudgingly do as he asks her to do because she really does feel that crappy. she'll find some way to take care of him too, though. ]

You should probably take a bath and get some sleep after you're done.

[He's just going to bustle around the kitchen while she eats, trying to keep himself busy. He pauses, though, adding after a beat:]

I'll be here when you wake up.

Promise? Lay down with me?

[ cuddles? cuddles. cuddles are needed. especially after all of that. ]

Okay.

Okay. I'll finish eating, and then shower and then my hair will be all all wet and then we can lay down.

[ And you'll get all wet, too. ]

Gee thanks that's just what I wanted. Can't you braid it back or somethin'?

[Girls did that sort of thing, right?]

Yeah, but my hair is really long. It's not gonna help much.

[ She's laughing a little. ]

Good. I'd rather not be, thanks.

[spiria]

[ She finishes her food and drink, and then goes to wash her utensils and dishes really quick. ]

I'll be back after a shower ... and you'd better be here when I get back, mister.

I ain't goin' anywhere!

[Gosh.]

Just making sure!

[ She finishes her cleaning and starts to walk out of the kitchen, poking his nose gently as she passes him. ]

[You certainly keep him on his toes, Kohaku...]

[ She's in and out of the tower within 20 minutes, wet hair braided back. ]

Rin?

[ Where in the house is Rin? Is he already upstairs? ]

[He is. And really he shouldn't be so tired but it was a long ride there and back with her, and it's just been one of those emotionally trying days. Weeks. Whatever.

But he's up there, already in bed on his side, staring tiredly at the wall.]

[spiria]

[ She finds him up there in bed, and she climbs in next to him gently. She smiles gently at him and places a hand on his cheek, resting her forehead against his. ]

Hey ...

Mnn... hey...

[Sorry, Kohaku. Falling in to bed reminded him just how tired he was.]

I feel like I'm gonna fall asleep right now...
