[Considering the (entirely unhelpful) messages he's getting from Armin right now...
Yeah.
This hasn't gone unnoticed.
But Rin's focus is certainly more on the hulking problem in front of him.
Were he unaware of who this was, he'd probably be more apt to take Armin's advice and get the hell out. He's dumb, and his ego has been systematically stripped away by their captors, but he still doesn't have a desire to die today.
However... this is Bert, just in a different form, taking his stubborn streak to another level likely in hopes of being left alone.
Which is exactly what Rin isn't willing to do.
Armin isn't giving him anything good right now, so he goes with what he knows best - his own power.
The red case slips away from his sword, and the blade comes out, trialing blue fire that envelopes his body. Ears lengthen, teeth sharpen, eyes distort, and the flames make horn shapes on his head along with the entire tuft of his tail transforming with the same power.
He's no titan, but he is a demon. And he's no pushover like this, either.]
I told you, if we gotta do this the hard way then so be it! Y'don't scare me like this!
[If Rin was worried about getting hurt he wouldn't be acting like this at all. Then again he usually isn't concerned about getting hurt at all because to him being able to heal means coming out of 90% of the situations he gets himself in to bruised but otherwise fine.
This isn't the first time he's had to smack around a friend until they see reason, and Lord knows they've done it to him plenty, too.
This is just the first time he's had to dodge a giant hand coming at him in order to do it.
Speaking of...
A few seconds before that hand even comes at him, Armin does give him a response he actually wanted, and knowing that he actually takes the swing as an advantage.
Go for the neck, right? He's got to get up there, first.
The swipe misses him as he goes rolling to the left, but once he's out of the target area he charges back in, intending to jump right on to that hand and use it to get to where Armin said he needs to be.]

Since he's in his titan form, he just watches. And then he reaches down to swing at Rin with a roar - a warning swipe, but still a swipe.
He's screaming on the inside.
I don't want to hurt you please just go please please I'm begging you please just go--]
