[Shiro would have liked to say that it doesn't have to be the same, that it could be a friendship, just something that's not all the fighting they've been doing so far.

But Shiro is terrible with his words. It's why he had gone to Rin for help with Yukio anyway.

It's ironic that, when he's finally ready to actually build some kind of parent/child relationship with them, they don't want anything to do with him. Such is Shiro's lot in life.]

[They're both terrible with words. And Rin just isn't sure where all of his feelings sit with Shiro right now, which isn't helping in the least.

Maybe once he's had a chance to talk to Yuri (and things are figured out, as they are likely to be sooner or later) they can come to a better impasse with al of this...]
